no doubt YES they r all cheat. They are only encashing the lust of man with pocket full of money...........well every one doubts their modusoprandi but no one can deny that they have not tried it.or dreamed of it......well not to be ashamed of ..I did try & failed miserably....So I can claim worthyness of my statement with clear experience.....& I m sure It can not be ignored in for future syupids too for falling prey for theses cheats....god save the manhood...

Wow Raji!!! That's a revealer! But if all of them are cheats, how come the advertisements keep coming in the newspapers and flourishing for month's on end??? You mean to say that nobody ever complains? No police / legal action can be taken for cheating?

they tell you to deposit money in certain account and then call back or mail from there and they promise you to give no. of females from your area.

once you deposit these people dont pickup or reply to your phone or email.

one lady from delhi is very much cheat i lost 3600 in that attraction. her name is Anita Kapoor or Anita Waliya, she advertises by name

Are we so desperate? I think its more like supply and demand, some guys really feel that they can get free sex if they pay these crooks some money to get the contact.

The people who are lured into these kind of clubs are the people who are new to town and desperate for sex (read free sex). This greed is capitalized by these crooks.

So we also share a major stake in creating these kind of clubs.

If its just friends whom you are looking for, after reading the messages posted by these board members, don't feel that they are more than an friend to you , they suggest you not to join these clubs, they take their time to respond to your message. Why don't you look at these people as friends?

I really appreciate what "Ek Hindustani" is doing, its pretty nice thing , but as far the cops in Mumbai, most of them are hand in glove with these guys, and even if they want to , its too difficult to trace these guys (the club owners). Nor that I personally have any experience on this, but have heard lot of stories on this. One of my friend tried to complain about this on Oshiwara Police Station, the inspector gives him a good piece of his mind. Which was a good advice, the gist is, "Why you guys from good family wants to go and meet these pimps? Are you ready to come to court as and when needed, you need to bring in Witness for the entire thing happened, just the deposit slip may not help, as in court the person can say he was a commission agent for something, or you owed him money which you paid by cheque." Its not a fair situation at all, in the busy life between our work and other problems, do you really have time to go and do these kind of stuff?

This is the reason most of them avoid it. It will never make a water tight case against them. So its better we stay from them, and recommend who so ever you know not to try out any of these kind of clubs.

You can find 100s of friends in iLaaka, ICQ etc., try to find the genuine person and be a friend with him. Friendship is not something that you can buy by money, its one of the greatest relationship in the entire world. The reason being, we cannot choose our parents, we cannot choose our relations, but we do have a choice of who is our friend. Its not need based, its not a commodity, its not conditional. The true friendship is pure and non-demanding, standing by each other when they need a shoulder.

So please dont confuse the definition of friendship by these so called "friendship clubs". Its not fair for the word "Friendship". Try to find a friend around you or try to develop the friendship feeling with your colleagues, neighbors, even some one walking on the street, they are everywhere, its how you click with them, how their presence brings sunshine to your life.

They have connection with police and desi gundas so no action is taken against them, so friends specially males dont give money to that harames. 90% advertisement in lokmat, pudhari, punyanagari,times of india are fraud, and feks so friends not trust on them you cant take legal action against them because they want only money from such advertisement,and they are refusing their resposibility agst people by printing line that they are not responsible for such advertisement. so friends be careful in this courrepted counrty.

I had a different experience today. I knew these friendship clubs were fake. I had also browsed this Ilaka page earlier in the day. I was interested in Ek Hindustani's Views and efforts. I called up lots of such clubs from Mumbai Mirror Ads today. Like an old recorder, they all said the same thing. 1) Regn fee of Rs 4000+ for 1/2 Yrs. 2)2 'services' a week 3) Rs 10,000-15,000 per 'service' 4) An ICICI Account 5) Someone was available in my area for 45000 and i could start 'service' today itself.

Needless to say, when I started asking a lot of questions, they just escaped. For instance, 1) Not a single person was willing to give me the address of their 'office'. 2) Nobody was ready to give me the client's details without registration amount, even though I told them they could take the entire sum of the first 'service'. 3) Nobody could tell me exactly how they benefited and what I am supposed to be doing with the supposed 'receipts/collection' - they all had different versions of me paying them a percentage of the earning. 4) Names just flew around - the names in the ads didnt match the names of the answerers - the answerer changed their name twice or more during a single call (Though I observed it, I pointed it to only one person who changed his name 4 times). 5) All of them wanted me to trust them for bringing me business, while they were not willing to trust me at all, even with a small amount. 6) As a rule, once they got screwed in my questioning, they never answered my calls again, try howmuchever times I might.

Finally I happened to talk to one 'Chandra madam' from chandra friendship club [+91-97696-63258/ 97696-44503] who asked me to meet her person - one Mr. Kumar [+91-96197-32088] to take care of registration. Here comes the fun part. Chandra informed me that Kumar was at the office in Borivali(W). Kumar called me up saying he would meet me at Dahisar, near MovieGem theatre. Despite my insistence to meet at his office, he would only meet me in Dahisar. It was apparently because he had locked up the office after the staff all left (I had called afte 6 PM). I purposely made him wait for an hour before meeting him. When I met him, he asked me whether I had brought a packet of Condoms. I acted surprised and told him I didnt know anything about a 'service' tonight. He asked me for the registration money [Rs 4,600]. I told him that chandra hadnt discussed it with me and so I havent brought any money. He asked me to withdraw it from a nearby ATM. I told him that 2 months back my wallet was picked in the train and hence nowadays I dont carry my debit cards with me. I offered to pay him by cheque (I wanted to trap him as Saturday was Bakrid and Sunday was a holiday. He could not encash it till monday).

He wanted it as a 'self' cheque and I agreed. But since Chandra objected over the phone, he wanted cash only. When asked why he didn't service the clients himself, he told me that he had been doing that for over a year and was tired of 'doing' it and hence stopped the service. He now worked for the 'company' (Chandra) and was paid a commission for new recruits. I spun a story on the spot about how I was cheated by a Neha frndship club last week and why I was so wary of these people. He told me that Chandra Ma'am was genuine and had real business going on. I pestered him with questions about how to trust him. He told me that he's been using his phone (the number he was calling me from) for over a year and I could always call him there. I asked him to recite the number for me. He recited +91-97696-63258. I informed him that the number belonged to Chandra. he told me that the last 2 numbers were 19 and the rest same. When i asked him if it was the same number he called me from, he told me yes. I showed him the number ending with 88 that he had called me from, from my phone register. He tried to give some fake explanation about using 2 numbers during the day and night, blah, blah, blah..

When asked how could I trust him when he cant even remember a phone number he's been using for over a year, he told me that he had come all the way from Malad for my satisfaction and so I should trust him. I told him that he had come from Borivali after locking his office, to which he agreed immediately. The fun increases. I put a condition that I am willing to withdraw money from my credit card and pay him, but I needed to have the name, phone number and address of the client before I handed over the money. He agreed and I withdrew cash (actually using my debit card only, without his knowledge). He got the number and the address suppposedly from Chandra, over a sms. But when I asked him to show the SMS, he could not bcoz 1) the contact details were in the sent box and not inbox 2) the date was a week back, not today. He glossed over it. I wanted further confirmation. I asked to speak to the client, named Jyoti. Kumar had told me that Jyoti was 24, alone and that her husband was a NRI and was outside India currently.

When Kumar put the call through to Jyoti, I could hear the voice of children in the background and the voice sounded like that of an old female. But Jyoti insisted that she was 24, alone, etc. She gave me her mobile No. (I still have some verifying to do. So I will give the number in my next post). I wrote down the address Kumar gave me in my notebook. Then I acted as if I was having second thoughts. I called up my girlfriend and playacted with her in my mother tongue. I later told him that my GF was upset over what I was doing. I told him that I was feeling guilty, that I didn't have enough courage to go ahead and so wouldn't be 'doing' it. He told me that they would inform jyoti that I was a virgin and it would be enough to pay me 1/2 rate and not to worry. [I was informed that I would be paid Rs 8000... but thats a different story]. After a bit more acting, I told him in no uncertain terms that I cant go ahead.

Here comes the surprise. I expected him to ask me to delete the phone number and tear off the address sheet. But he didnt. He merely told me, more like a threat, that I have to pay atleast Rs 1000 for having wasted over an hour of his (he didnt count the hour he wasted waiting for me). I said 'No way. Even CAs dont get paid that much an hour'. He started abusing me. He told me that his children were waiting for him at his home at Goregaon and he abandoned them to meet up with me and make some money and that I ditched him. When I asked him to service the client himself, as that would fetch more returns, he started swearing at me. I left the place immediately. He called me twice on my number and swore at me. He even threatened me, but I know that there is nothing he can do.

I decided to pursue this investigation to its logical end - find out whether such an address exists and such a lady is waiting. When I went to the locality mentioned, every landmark was present and it surprised me. But after an hour's search, I found out that there was no building by the name given in the address. I didnt call Jyoti because I intend to trick her and find her true identity and I didnt want to give my number to her at this juncture. Tomorrow, I intend to pose as a marketing person and call her on the number she gave me and find out her true identity. Maybe that was the reason, Kumar didnt ask me to tear the address sheet off. Meanwhile, while I was talking to him about the address earlier, I asked him to accompany me to the building (mind you, not the flat. Just the building). I always suspected the address. But Kumar flatly refused to accompany me saying he was very late already and that his kids would be waiting for him at Goregaon. You know what, none of the buildings in that area have seven floors and the flat was supposed to be in the 7th floor.

For those who might mistake me, I went to meet Kumar to investigate, not to try my luck as a gigolo. I have no need to be one. But being in a profession involving investigation to an extent, and having read the posts in this forum, I thought I should investigate it, to the extent I can. The experience I have narrated above was on Friday 27th Nov '09. There were a couple of minor, but nevertheless interesting revelations, that I could not post owing to my feeling too drowsy at the time of posting.

First, while discussing the mode of payment by the supposed client, Chandra informed me that I will be paid in cash in a white envelope. Kumar told me that the payment would be upfront and as soon as I reach the location. Chandra told me that I'll have to call her on reaching Jyoti's place for confirmation of my presence there. Chandra never spoke about any share in the 'remuneration' or any bank account. But when I pestered Kumar about how he's benefitting from the deal, he told me that I have to pay them 25% of my earnings. I'll have to deposit the same in a bank account immediately after the service. Neither did Kumar mention which bank account nor did he remember that the next 2 days were bank holidays. I am sure he made up that thing about depositing in the bank account because there was no money to be made from the supposed 'service' anyway. It was all an eyewash.

Second, during early part of our conversation when I told him about being ripped off by Neha Frndship club, he offered to find the address of the person from her phone number. Now I am aware that unless Cell companies themselves reveal the address, there is no way of finding an address from the mobile number; and cell companies don't divulge details, unless it is to the police, with court order, blah, blah, blah. And here was this person, confidently telling me that he could secure an address from a mobile phone number in less than a day. It could be either of 3 cases: 1) he was a moron and he was bluffing 2) It is possible because the entire frndship club circle is somehow connected, interlinked and run by some or same mafia/ underworld/ gang, etc. 3) Kumar was practically certain that he would not be meeting me ever again and could bluff his way through, without bothering about me.

Third, regarding his mobile phones. He himself conceded on one occasion that he could simply throw the SIM card off and get another one. His mentioning that his number being used for over a year, but not remembering the number and mentioning throwing off the SIM - all provide for an interesting perspective on how they work.

Fourth, as an advice to the many who respond to ads, please ask as many questions as you can. The more you ask, the more they start making up stories on the spot and the more chances of them getting caught. So here goes to frndship clubs. Hip hip Hurray ?!?!?!?!?!
