Manav,
The only solution seems to be - *better roads*
If the roads are better, people can stay further in the suburbs, and still commute to work everyday without any problems.
Then in these suburbs, townships and malls develop and soon they become self-sufficient, thereby reducing traffic in the urban areas.
so the answer to your question is: form groups which put pressure on your local MLA or corporator to build better, broader roads & flyovers in your neighborhood.
Not that easy a deal, but seems like the only way out i can think of.
anyways, cheers!
metro and other forms of public transport are the only solution
as more and more people shift to public transport traffic problem will ease out
or in better words will not worsen
One of the way to improve the traffic jam is that the rider should stick to his/er lane as most of the jams took place bcoz people drive mostly zig zag and creating lot of probson the roads also pooling sytem, use of metro and construction of more wide roads instead of flyover bcoz after flyover vehicles has to land up on road only....
DRIVE SAFE !!
AVOID SPEED -- SPEED THRILLS BUT KILLS....
1. Curb registration of new vehicles. The second vehicle for family should attract some extra premium & henceforth
2. Local commutation to be made comfortable & friendly so that it can be an exact option for personal vehicles
3. People to make understand the problem as it lies in their own hand. Its better if one can understand himself & obey traffic rules rather than cops taking them to task
4. Three lanes to be made. First for buses, second for cabs, autos, 2 wheelers & 4 wheelers with less than 2 passengers. Third lane should be for 4 wheelers with more than 2 passengers. As 3rd lane will be less crowded, people will be forced to pool their vehicles & that will ultimately breing the traffic down
Yea, I agree with other readers. we have to improve infrastructures first and promote car pooling with seniors effectively.

For stress drink goji juice | gochi juice
very simple solution is there
Follow singapore system
there one car costs 200 thousan dollers and same car u can buy in india for Rs 14 lac
Govt should provide good transportation system and raise the price of cars
other soultion is
every home should be allowed 1 car at present road tax and if same house no is seeking another car road tax should be raised 50 times any one who can pay that amount can buy a car and that amount should be used on roads maintainance
Does indan Govt has that guts?
